As a therapist, I believe meaningful change begins with feeling truly seen, heard, and understood. I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences, building insight, and developing skills that support growth and resilience.
My approach is grounded in a cognitive-behavioral framework while integrating person-centered and trauma-informed principles. I draw from evidence-based practices such as attachment focused therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT.) I incorporate developmentally appropriate strategies to meet clients where they are. I am attentive to cultural context and value the importance of creating an affirming environment that respects each client’s unique background and identity.
I am currently a Psy.D. student at California Northstate University, where I am receiving clinical training in psychology. I am open to working with clients across the lifespan, and I am especially passionate about supporting children and their families. My clinical interests include working with individuals experiencing anxiety, mood-related concerns, behavioral challenges, and trauma, with an emphasis on early intervention, strengthening coping skills, and promoting long-term resilience and emotional well-being.
Before entering graduate training, I spent several years working in a supervisory role, which strengthened my ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and support individuals through challenges. These experiences continue to shape my approach as a clinician, emphasizing patience, empathy, and collaboration. I am excited to join American River Family Counseling and to continue developing my skills while supporting children, adolescents, and families in their growth and well-being.
